Where "Wanting To Bail" Comes From

Whether you’re the type who is always one foot out the door or has a hard time committing, or the type that has a constant fear of abandonment and can be clingy, these behaviors aren’t your fault and actually make complete sense.

No, it doesn’t make complete sense in the situation you’re currently in if you have a solid relationship with an emotionally available, safe partner. These thoughts or behaviors made complete sense when you were a kid and had some not great parenting experiences, and now these patterns are carrying into your adult relationships.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So YAY for these patterns that helped you stay safe as a kid in a toxic home, but :sad face: for the ways these patterns are showing up and even “sabotaging” your relationships now.

We’re going to go deeper into these topics in my upcoming 4 week group program on healthy relationships in September. In the meantime, sign up for my free email series in August on the “basics” of healthy relationships. Click here to subscribe!
