Why It Makes Sense If You Sabotage Your Relationships

Your anxiety and fear of abandonment, or difficulty in connecting deeply with others, or “sabotaging”relationships, or reacting in your relationships in ways you don’t feel proud of, ALL make perfect sense.

The way you were raised, parented, and how safe the environment and society you were raised in was for you have all shaped your nervous system which includes the brain.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s actually maddening to me that children that are raised by traumatized and/or emotionally immature, harmful people, can enter adulthood with a nervous system that is wired for protection instead of connection.

This wiring for protection helped many of us stay safe in our childhoods, but is now leading to those issues I named above and more, setting us up for struggles in our adult relationships.

We can learn to understand why we are the way we are in relationships AND learn and implement tools to heal.
